Making Better Choices

FIX is always working on ways to do better and reduce our environmental footprint. Our component design inherently reduces waste, we're always looking to source better materials and offering upcycling on our eyewear. Less of our eyewear means more.

meaningful Materials

FIX uses TR90 polycarbonate for frames and CR39 lenses which can be recycled and repurposed into other forms of products.

We're currently investigating partners who will be able to take our returned materials and give them a new life, perhaps a fence post, or some furniture.

Our packaging is derived from recycled materials.

Upcycling

If you damage your eyewear within 12 months our 'oops' policy applies - meaning you can return your damaged eyewear to us for upcycling or recycling and we will give you 40% off an identical purchase. What's more, if you trade in your old eyewear we will give you $10 off your next purchase and we will upcycle, recycle or dispose of your old eyewear responsibly.

recycling

During the production and shipping process soft plastics are used in order to maintain quality control and to protect your eyewear from scratching - luckily these soft plastics are recyclable.

FIX uses the Soft Plastics Recycling Scheme to reduce the amount of soft plastics sent to our customers. This ensures that the majority of our soft plastics are turned into new plastic products, reducing waste going to landfill.

PLANNING OUR FUTURE

Investing in materials for the future

We have already identified a new TR90 material that we will use in our next production run which is 70% compostable.

bCorp Certification goal

Our goal is to be BCORP certified within the first 24 months of operations. We're only just beginning but believe in better.

Optimising our supply chains

We're working with our suppliers to align their goals with ours, to improve our sustainability at every step.
